Contemporary hazards for hands

Civilization and the development of industry have brought on many unpleasant and even hazardous environmental influences. The delicate skin of the hands is more threatened today than at any other time in history by mechanical trauma as well as contact with dangerous chemicals and even chlorinated water. The outermost layer of the skin, the epidermis, is often subjected to the ravages of aggressive chemicals contained in detergents and household cleaners. Their effects, combined with other harmful effects such as the abrupt change of temperature, dry air, wind and the UV rays of the sun lead to premature aging of the skin.

Apart from outward influences, the condition of the skin depends also on the general health of the body. An imprudent diet can cause disturbances in your overall health, which are often manifested with a change in the skin’s pigmentation. Skin pigmentation is extremely difficult to treat due to its location in the deeper layers of skin. Even professional dermal procedures have minimal effects in treating this problem, which is why you should strive to prevent it through a balanced diet.
