Every woman wants the result of her efforts in manicure to be utter perfection. But in order to achieve perfection, you must care for your nails regularly. If you’re already blessed with strong and beautiful nails, then the challenge before you is to preserve them in this condition.

Below you will find advice on how to achieve this. Some of them you may have already guessed. In this case, let this article serve to confirm your ideas and give you the extra nudge into following them.

Nails should not be too long. This makes them more susceptible to harmful influences. You should also refrain from cutting them too deep and exposing the nail bed, since this may lead to infection.

Always use a soft non-aggressive soap.

Don’t forget to protect your hands with rubber gloves when dealing with housework or gardening.

Avoid direct contact with cleaning products.

Do not soak your hands in water for prolonged periods of time. This weakens the nails.

To remove grunge and debris from under the nails, soak them in a bowl of warm water with a few drops of shampoo for a couple of minutes. Clean with a soft nail brush or toothbrush.

If you have time to spare, massage your nails and cuticles with olive oil with light patting movements. This will make them strong and shiny. Massaging the nails in water with bath salts also gives them extra shine. Another good alternative is the light mustard seed massage.

You can also produce this homemade nail cream. You will need:

1 teaspoon avocado puree

1 teaspoon egg yolk

1 teaspoon honey

A pinch of salt

Blend all the ingredients into a smooth paste. Apply a small amount of the mixture to each nail while massaging the nail and the skin and cuticle around it. Do this for 30 minutes and rinse. You can make a larger dose of this lotion. If properly refrigerated, it can keep for up to a month.

In order for this lotion to have the best possible effect, you must not do anything with your hands while the procedure lasts (for about half an hour). The best time to do this is two hours before going to bed.
