If your nails are yellowing

It is most likely that you have a vitamin C deficiency. The easiest and most efficient way to cure this problem is a massage with freshly squeezed lemon, grapefruit or blackcurrant juice. You should also try to include these fruits in your diet.

If your nails have become brittle

Bees wax procedures have proved a good remedy for this problem. Steam-heat the bees wax until it reaches the consistency of honey. Dip your fingers in it. Wax caps will form around your fingertips. You can remove them in 10-15 minutes or leave them on for the night.

Expert’s advice

The way our hands and nails look is a mirror for the overall health of our whole body. Hands and nails that are well taken care of and consistently maintained are a decoration to any woman. For softening and nourishing the skin of your hands you can use potato stock. Add a few drops of lemon juice and keep your hands in it for about 10 minutes. Afterwards, rub the skin with olive or sunflower oil. You can add a few drops of lavender, orange or rosemary oil.

The following homemade mask is an excellent treatment for weatherworn hands and nails. Combine one mashed potato with one tablespoon of whole sour cream and one egg yolk. Apply while still warm and keep on for 20 minutes. Rinse and follow up with olive oil and a little chamomile oil.
